Just in time for all those fresh fruits and vegetables you'll be harvesting in the next few months I'm offering up these cute cloth produce bags. Not growing your own fruits and veges ? Then take them to the grocery store with you and use them in place of those nasty plastic sacks. These produce bags are made from flour sack material so will weigh just a tad, but not as much as the cost of an apple.
For the chance to win this set of 2, just leave me a comment along with your favorite "Green" tip.
This Giveaway is open until mid night on Sunday 31st May 2009. If you're an international reader, don't be shy, this one's for you too.
GOOD LUCK !!

Your store is awesome!!! LOVE IT!
I love your work!
Green tip: Vermicompost! It is fairly easy way to compost in a container for those who cannot have an outdoor compost. Scraps of fresh food including veggies, fruits - no citrus, and even coffee grinds can be turned into nutrient rich humus by the worms.
Your stuff is so cute. I can just imagine all the compliments people would give someone shopping with your bags!
Thanks for letting us on the OTC know about your blog!
I've been looking at items such as the ones you offer wanting to try them. Our family is striving to become more green.
Thanks for letting OTC know about your blog.
I hope I win!! Cool bags : )
TIP: let your AC unit drain into a bucket instead of "down the drain"...just disengage the hose and let it dangle into a bucket. Use it to water your garden or house plants!
TIP: keep a small box or bag in your car to collect all those recycleables you get when your out and about and cant recycle...i save a lot of plastic bottles that way!
LOVE THEESE! What a great idea! My recycling tip is....All Starbuck's give away the used coffee grounds. They are usually in a basket or can in the store for you to take but if not, just ask and they will gladly give them to you. Coffee grounds are great for your plants and to add to your mulch bin.
Thanks for telling us on OTC about your blog, added it to my favs!

Keep reusable bags everywhere - in the car, stroller, your purse, etc.
Hi - my green tip is remember to take your fabric shopping bags when shopping...take them out of the boot, put them in the car and then at least you are more likely to remember them before you leave the car and start shopping! I know it sounds a little thing, but the more plastic shopping bags we can reduce, the better! And use your fabric bags for all your shopping, not just your groceries! Great giveaway idea!
Adorable! My tip is to make recyling quick and easy. We do this by keeping a smaller bin in the kitchen that we empty into the bigger garage bin as it fills up.
Love the bags. Thanks for the giveaway
love these bags!! we try to carry a couple of extra bags in the car for picking up trash when we are out in nature. thanks for the opportunity!
Love 'em! My green tip... instead of buying small garbage bags for our trash cans, I use the plastic bags from shopping. When I gather enough I go back to my cloth bags, of course! I also save all kinds of scrap paper for notes, lists, quick thoughts, etc.
Reduce - Reuse - Recycle
Nice bags! They would be adorable.
i keep a tote with me everywhere i go so i don't have to use a plastic bag. so easy! if a win these, i'll have more traveling buddies.
The bags are great!! At our house, we don't use many paper towels or paper napkins. Kitchen towels and cloth napkins in the kitchen and microfiber and old cloth diapers for cleaning.
Best tip ever: homemade all-purpose cleaner. some baking soda, some borax, some water. Cuts through grease like no commercial cleaner I've used.
I love your handmade crafts! Oh I do recycle junk mail and paper. I eitehr make handmade paper or paper mache creations! Thanks so much for your green giveaway!!
My most consistent green tip is cutting my dryer sheets in half and resuing them.
Good looking bags. I am a first time visitor to your blog and will have a look around.
Green tip... I reuse the large yogurt pots as containers for pretty much anything in my kitchen.
I love your giveaway and your blog!
Green tip: recycle! Original, I know.
My favorite green tip is to leave your reusable grocery bags in the car or on the door knob on the way to the car - that way you always have them at the store.
The bags are super cute!
Cute bags! Hmm, favorite green tip.... nothing new, but using reusable water bottles and travel mugs. It's shocking how much I used to use in the disposable stuff!
What an excellent idea these bags! Hmmm...green tip...always fill your washing machine and dishwasher as full as it can handle because it uses the same amount of electricity whether it's a full load or half load.
We use cute cloth napkins, and I love to sew with vintage fabrics. Thanks for participating in the giveaway. Will be visiting again.
Love these bags. My green tip is to compost. Its as easy as pie and your garden will love it.
Those are too cute! What a great idea. Green tip: recycle and repurpose - I'm always looking at items in my home that are broken or no longer useful for their original purpose, and find me uses for them. And also invest in a green cleaning guide - all household items used for household cleaning. You'd be surprised how much power baking soda has.
Love the fruit and veggie bags! Our family uses the recycling to find craft supplies...cardboard can be made into tons of neat things and glass and tin can be used as planters.
THESE ARE ADORABLE!!
Can I admit that I'm not very 'green'? I have started recycling our paper for the kids Paper Gator, which earns money for the school. I try to keep a box in the car to put recipts, etc. in for recycling? That's all I've got, BABY STEPS! lol
Well reusable bags of course! And yours are adorable!
I have been wanting some produce bags for the grocery store and these are so cute.
My Green tip: I use a simple vinegar and water solution to clean the house. Just put it in an old spray bottle and have a go.
-joy
compost, compost, compost! Composting seriously cuts down our garbage amount each week and has turned our no-good garden soil into beautiful, perfect for growing soil!
We reduce our waste by using cloth diapers & wipes.
These are so cute! I'm not sure if this is a "green" tip or not, but I always carry a BPA free water bottle with me so I don't have to buy plastic ones.
My fave green things to do are microfiber cloths instead of paper towels and hanging my clothes out on the line.
Very nice! I've been trying to use cloth diapers most of the time and buy used clothing for my son. No need to buy new!
These are lovely :) My favourite green tip is that I try and use EVERYTHING at least twice. Plastic bags that I can't avoid getting, jars and milk bottles. Whatever I can.
my favorites are my own reusable grocery bags. those little bags you made are super cute cute though!
GREAT giveaway!! Love them, you were right, they would look great with the recycle bag I have :)
These are just fabulous!! I'd love to win them, and use them when shopping and gathering fruit! At the moment, our Mandarin tree is sagging from the motherload of citrus hanging from its branches...
Count me in!!
My green tip: use reusable crocheted/knit cotton washcloths instead of sponges :)
I love them!! very eco which is what we are all about!! My green tip is to use allllllll the left over fabric. We use ours to design T-shirts. We're having a give away too YAY!!
xo Steph
Shorter/cooler showers and pushing off using the AC as long as possible
Awesome job! Love it! Good Job!
LOVE your site! thanks for the chance to win!
my latest green tip: cloth diapers!i have a 5 month old...so this is the main green for me:)
walkthruflames@gmail.com
Tip: Use torn up t-shirts instead of paper towels!
I love the bags
My green tip - COMPOST! We have reduced our waste by about 75% by building a large compost bin & putting everything possible in it.
Thank you for entering me in the drawing. Your store is great, btw.
I love how the letters stand out on the bag!
My tip would be to go paperless with bills and payments, do it online.
Compost! Using both sides of paper-always!!
Wonderful bags so creative.
Favorite green tip: think seasonal and local, it's generally cheaper and requires a whole lot less energy to get to your plate, those it does limit your fruit choices in MN in the winter.
We use all natural pesticides on our garden. No chemical washoff in our backyard!
I love the bags! I have 2 green tips.
#1 Support local farms via CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) or Farmer's Markets. If your food doesn't travel as far then less fuel is used to get it to you!
#2 As we are potty training our 1.5 year old- we are using cloth underwear rather than pull ups!
What a great giveaway item! Thanks for the chance to win!

Cute and very useful for storing produce from the farmers market
Favorite green tip: I take public transportation into work. It's a long commute, but I get lots of time on the bus and subway to knit, sew, and craft. I've become so productive and I'm known as "the girl who knits."
Anna S.
Those produce bags are awesome!
I've found that in using my Sigg bottle, I've completely stopped buying not only bottled water, but any other bottled drink. And I'm drinking more water, which is great healthwise.
thanks for the giveaway!
Great bags !
Green tip ? We recycle all our buttons, zippers from those unwearables and also use the unwearables as rags :)
Love these! These are PERFECT for shopping at the farmers market where they don't even weigh the food.
Wow they're so cute!
I like to reuse and use our creativity to recycle and re-purpose everything around the house.
Lovely bags! One of our green efforts has been to reduce the amount of meat we consume.
They´re sooo cute!! I want them, hehe! Kisses from Brazil!
Love to clean out jars and packaging items and throw in the craft bin. Helps my kids imaginations grow too :)
Oh, I love those! I use the little plastic produce bags as small trash can liners though! I also resue paper grocery sacks to wrap up packages for mailing. i also keep my reusable bags in the car, that way I use then for small shopping trips as well as large grocery shopping trips.
Cute bags! Don't buy bottled water - carry your own!
wow! how smart is that?!?!
Our green tip is: CLOTH DIAPER! it isn't as hard or as yucky as you may think!
What a great idea! We often bring reusable grocery bags with us, but end up lugging annoying plastic baggies with our fruits and veggies. I love these! My favorite green tip is cloth diapering, which I am LOVING right now. ;)
I'll second the vermicomposting! Less trash and organic fertilizer in one! Leaving tips is a great idea!
oh, if i win these then i don't have to make them myself! my best green tip has been making my own cleaning produtcs - it's cheap and effective.
Love the bags! We have decided to be more green by walking to school and to the YMCA... Loving the sunny days!
Fab!! My tip is to use cloth nappies - so helpful to the environment!
I love those produce sacks! Lately, I've been using recycled glass jars as little terrariums. It seems to be the only way I can grow plants I can actually grow. Thanks for your very generous give-away! :)
I'm working on growing my own produce (at least a small part of it) without any pesticides.
reusing is my tip. Please count me in! Thank you so much for your generosity! samjerus[at]yahoo.com
Your veggie and fruit bags are wonderful. We do have an organic garden growing. We no longer buy water in plastic bottles!
Thanks, Cindi
jchoppes[at]hotmail[dot]com
These bags are so great! I have some pretty large reusable bags that fold up to fit in my purse, that way they are always there to use instead of plastic. And I am becoming a huge fan or resale shopping!
Tip: Use Maggie's Soap Nuts in your laundry. They're awesome! They get everything clean, keep colors bright, & are completely natural. Love them!
These are soo sweet
thanks for the chance
Green Tip I don't buy water bottles We have those reuseable metal ones now. Try to recycle everything that you can and try to buy products that you can recycle :)
We use back side of Printer paper for kids to draw on. I am going to go and read all the comments to get some tips. Thnks
my email is anmol2ca AT yahoo DOT ca
Wow! What a cute idea :-) I would be much prouder of those in the grocery store than my current plain green bags! And I've just started growing my vegies so it would be an inspiring way to get going.
Anyway, my green tip is this: go vegan! It's incredible how much the meat, dairy and egg industries contribute to the horrible things happening in our world. And with all the gorgeous, scrumptious foods available for vegan now, there's not excuse not to!! xx Sandra

Hi, I make bags, but have never thought of replacing plastic produce bags with fabric ones. Please enter me into the giveaway. Hugs Naomi
I collect lots and lots of packaging box. Whenever someone's birthday is coming, I just buy/make something and pick the box closer in shape and size to the present, open up all the glued sides of the box, turn it inside out, glue the box again. I resist myself using wrapping paper so I just draw on or glue embellishments to the (usually) brown box.
Great idea!
My green tips: get a rain barrel and use the collected rain to water your garden, choose food items that are produced locally and didn't have to travel very far to reach you and finally see things in a different light in order to reuse them instead of throwing them away.
thanks for sharing
xo
Great bags. Put on a jumper before turning the heat up (we are heading into winter here!!).
Such beautiful bags!
My tip is to turn the heater down when you get home from work, and go for a brisk walk before dinner. With the exercise and the warm food, you'll be warm until bedtime!
cool bags,
my tip is to get a worm farm to re-cycle your scraps (that the chookies dont eat) and then re-compost on your gardens
what a great idea! Ilove it!
Oh! How great are these bags?! They are my new green tip - I hate using those plastic vege bags :)
Love those bags, so cute! I use a hot water bottle in bed when it's cold, instead of ane elctric blanket or heater in the bedroom.
I adore those bags! I would love to use these at the grocery store. I would be beaming from all the compliments they would get me. I say go paperless by signing up for online statements. Also turn off the water when you are brushing your teeth. Shave your legs in the bath tub and not while you are in the shower because the shower wastes more water than one tub of water. Also don't hang up Christmas lights they waste a lot of electricity.
galaxie_bleu@yahoo.com
these are so cute and good for us too! :)
I reuse oatmeal containers to hold my kids little toys.
I also use Freecycle to recycle items that might otherwise end up in a landfill.
Pretty. What a great way to save the Env and eat healthy!
I love your veggi and fruit bags among many other neat stuff you have made. You are very talented. I would have to say my green tip is not a new one and not eas green idea wise its been around forever. Cloth napkins. Loves them even though I ever have enough I neeed a serger to make them better
awesome bags! We use fabric shopping totes instead of the plastic bags from the store!
Thanks for offering a giveaway!

Those are so cute! We pack our own lunches in reusable containers, and I try to buy bigger quantities and stay away from individual serving packaging.
These bags are such a great idea!
I'm simple when it comes to going green, compost, reuse things as much as possible, and finding great things like this sure helps!
Shop on craigslist, ebay, thrioft stores, and garage sales. Not only will you save money, you'll also be reusing or repurposing your new-to-you treasures.
Hi- thanks for the giveaway. It's hard for me to think of just one tip! I think one thing I do that had the most daily impact is to carry my reusable water bottle everywhere. Good for me and the earth!
Rad bags! Here's my tip...Vinegar and baking soda will clean nearly anything!
These bags are gorgeous! My big thing right now is repurposing old / too small clothing to create something new...and I am into making cloths right now too. No more shop bought disposable cloths for me...
i love these! we use a random assortment of re-used plastic bags, mesh bags and canvas sacks to get our produce at the store, so these would be a lovely addition to the menagerie!
so much fun!
green tip: we use toilet cloth and cloth menstrual products (as well as cloth diapers!) - and be a one car family!
My favourite green tip is to grow green - meaning growing your own veg, using a rain barrel for watering needs, and composting for soil enrichment!

Doin' stuff local, buyin' stuff local, finding a local community of people to share your ideas with. ~H
Love your bags! Green Tip: refill a reusable water bottle instead of drinking from water bottles.

Stop using paper towls. We haven't used them in years, and don't miss them at all. Use old cloths for really messy things, or just use a dish cloth and throw it in the laundry.
Also stop using so much shampoo or even go no-poo. Even for your household, vinegar, baking soda and some peroxide is all you will need in 99% of all cases.
Your bags are really neat. I love the labels!
What cute bags, this is such a great idea! My favorite green tip is to always take my coffee tumbler with me to the coffee shop. It's so simple but makes a big impact!
If your family eats a lot of yogurt, like ours does, don't buy it in individual size containers. Buying larger containers reduces the amount of plastic that will have to be recycled later. And making your own yogurt (a ridiculously easy project) cuts it down even further.
Thanks for this beautiful offering. I would love to win your bags!

len979[at]hotmail[dot]com
cute bags! we are a cloth napkin family too. thanks for your generosity!
I can't think of anything that hasn't already been said, but I would love those adorable produce bags!
Wow! These are terrific! I've been looking for something to replace those horrid plastic veggie bags...
This is a great giveaway!
Green tip: Compost your yard waste. For large tree branches and etc. participate in your community "green posting" center programs if offered.
i would love these!
i clean everything with vinegar so i guess that would be my green tip!
muschj99@yahoo.com
I love garage sales for reusable things. And we use cloth diapers!
simply.simon.sisters(at)gmail(dot)com
These are really great!
Oh, we could really use these! What a fun way to bring home our produce!
Your bags are lovely and so useful.
Green tips: There are so many Green things that I learned from my mother in the 1950s! : Find a 2nd use for everything. Cloth napkins instead of paper. Rags instead of paper towels. Collect "clean water" in sink and use to water outside plants. Cut up really old clothes for rags; save the buttons and some zippers. Use grocery bags for trash bags.
kathleen
Cloth napkins are fun and useful! And you can show off all of those fat quarters that you have -- sew two quilting weight pieces right sides together, turn and press, then sew a fancy stitch around the edge.
those are super cute. I have been thinking about making some for a while.. but can't seem to finish my list.
This is great. Right now I just grab the fruits and vegetables (like apples or green peppers) and toss them in my cart cause I hate getting those plastic bags. These would be great. My green tip right now is to use tree-free paper! These are quite a few options on the market now, you just have to look for it. Google "Banana paper" to start.
I love these bags and I love your blog!! I'm just beginning to make my own cute reusable bags at home. It's so much fun and I feel I'm doing my part.
My Green Tip - My Mother was green before being green was cool!! She ALWAYS cleaned the house with vinegar and water. Can't say that it smells lovely, but it works. I wonder if there's an herbal extract that you could add to cut the vinegar smell, but not harm your floors or counter tops..Hmmm.
Hope I win!
I have used my children's old flannel receiving blankets to make cute quilts. Quick & easy to make!
so cute!
tip: unplug your chargers, powerstrips, and other items before you leave for work each morning to save energy and $!
These will be great for the Farmer's Market!
These will be great for my weekly trip to the Farmer's Market!
Love the bags.
My newest going green has been the starting of our home vermicompost bin. The worms are great at eating everything we don't and they are great for the kids to watch the life cycle of worms. (The babies are really cute!)
Love your bags!
When we moved into our current home, we were forced to be a little "greener" due to our septic system. I no longer use bleach. Instead, I use grapefruit seed extract, which is a natural cleaner. I also use baking soda for just about everything. Vinegar and hot water to mop the floor, old receiving blankets have made great cleaning cloths, cloth napkins at meals, paper plates only when we have way too many people to serve off regular, compost canister in the kitchen plus a snall area in the backyard, sustainable produce purchased weekly at a farmers market, growing our own Sweet 100 tomatoes plus peppers and green beans ...
My tip is to give up all the packaged cleaners--even the 'green' and 'natural' ones. Baking soda and vinegar and a little hot water work wonders, come in bulk, recyclable packaging and are CHEAP! Those bags are so cute and I've been telling myself all spring long that it was time to make produce bags!
Thank you for the chance to win!
I love your produce bags, what a wonderful idea. They would make great gifts too.
My green tip is to use reusable shopping totes/bags as gift bags. I started to do this this past year. Your produce bags could be great for this too.
Fabric napkins. I use them all the time. Just trying to do my part to reduce the land fills.
another great way to be green! Love your giveaway bags... we use reusable bags on our trips to the grocery store etc. Lately I buy bags wherever we travel as souvenirs and then use them at home.
bettina.groh@gmail.com
What a fun freebie. I use reusable plastic containters instead of sandwich baggies. Thanks for the giveaway. I can be reached by email at luscofamily(at)comcast(dot)net.
We reuse the plastic containers that house grocery store greens and blueberries. Whenever we get fruit or vegetables from our local organic farm CSA or the farmer's market, we wash it and put it in those containers for storage in the fridge. It works great. Love the bags and thanks for the fun stories on my blog (the apron). I was laughing out loud.
Compost your kitchen scraps and paper (paper towels, napkins, plates).
Whatever you do, involve your kids or your neighbor's kids, or maybe just a neighbor!
Tip: Cut buttons off of old clothes to use with new sewing projects!
Make your own lunch bag instead of using a paper bag!
Oh my. I love this idea. I stopped useing the plastic bags and this would be a great idea for shopping. My family has desided to go green and this should be something for every store to do. Thanks for the chance. Anne L
i take cloth bags with me whenever i go shopping for anything!
I love recycling so your lovely bags would come in very handy - hope to win them :)
Please add me to your drawing and thank you for your generosity!
Greetings from Mexico ~
My favorite "green" tip is to reuse clothing and sheets I find at yard sales and thrift stores to craft with. I've been learning a lot about felting and being able to make things with old sweaters but I haven't tried any of it out yet.
Ooh! I would love to win these produce bags. So very pretty!
I love to be green! The newest green thing I've done is I made knit reusable cotton swabs for my mom for Mother's Day. I've seen them for sale on Etsy too.
lesjoujou AT gmail DOT com
Compost everything you possibly can! Really really cuts down on the trash.
So cute are these bags!!! Great idea.
These are adorable!!
Very crafty & too cute!
I got your link from the spam board.
A worm bin is my favorite green tip. The bags are super cute!

I reuse all my sons old school newsletters for my own lists or kids to draw. hey maybe I should suggest they try emailing their newsletters now that would be the ultimate.
Love the bags.
We started a vegetable garden, and compost all the kitchen scraps (what our composter won't take, the city will now compost!). Between that and recycling anything the city will pick up (metal, paper, some plastics), we're down to one garbage pickup a month now.
I try to use canvas bags instead of plastic... a big way to cut down on plastic. These bags are great!
I love those bags. I've been thinking about making some myself, but I'd rather win yours! My favorite green tip...boy it's hard to choose just one, but I think I'll go with the power strip. Plug everything into one, and just flip the switch when you're done and viola, no ghosting power.
I make my own cleaning products. Vinegar is pretty much in everything. What I can't make, I buy already made - laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, dish soap. I reuse all my spray containers, too. Also, instead of using paper towels to wipe my counters down, I use wash cloths.
I always carry a little fold-up bag with me so I don't have to use plastic ones at the store.
I love these!!! I have not seen anthing like this before..so creative! Sign me up to win! :)
Love the bags!
My favorite green tip is to use old clothing to make lovely sewn things. I'm talking every type of clothing: underwear, socks, old garage-sale clothing...everything. You can make really simple bags, quilts, pillows, anything. My sister and I are making aprons and hot mits with our old fabric to give away as gifts.
Great bags! We've just started vermicomposting. The worms eat all our fruit & veggie waste, they give us great fertilizer, and my daughters are fascinated!
Carry your own hand towel, and/or hankie - paper is for wimps.
What a great giveaway!!
Keep up the good work.
Wonderful giveaway and wonderful idea!
I came over from OTC Spam and I am glad I did!
Thanks!
Love it!
Green tips, things like using your own grocery bags and being aware of how much electricity your idle electronics use are quick and easy changes.
THose are adorable! Please sign me up!
and my fave green tip: Use tupperwares or reusable containers more than plastic baggies. you'll save a lot of plastic and money!
Those are adorable. I to reuse my platic ziploc baggies. These seemed to get thrown out so easily. All you have to do is wash them in HOT water and they are good to go!
These are so cute! I've also made some bags to carry snacks in (not as nice like yours....) but we are also using canning jars to keep our bulk (nuts, beans, flour). They do look cute in the shelves!
thanks for the chance. homemamaoftwo (at) hotmail (dot) com.
Remember to put veggie/fruit kitchen debris into the yard compost and hand dry the laundry!
Hang up clothes to dry rather than using the dryer!!! They smell so nice!
Those bags are awesome!
My fave green tip - we pack our own lunches and try to use minimally processed/pre-packaged foods in them. My oldest says that her friends have all said that they wish their parents would pack them cool lunches too. :D
love those, I would use them for grocerie shopping. Love your etsy shop too, will visit again!
We keep chickens in a re-purposed trampoline and when they don't lay - egg trays are great for raising seed!
jvannini@hotmail.com
I have reusable grocery bags. I love those bags.
I put a big plastic container in my sink while I cook to put my compostable (if that's a word!) food scraps in so I can easily take it to the yard when I'm finished.
I am in. I love those produce bags. green tip: start a garden..
Cute blog! I love those bags. So adorable.
My green project right now is using cloth shopping bags and eliminating my plastic bag accumulation. And reusing my plastic bags that I DO have and not just tossing them. I'm also working on recycling magazines and bottles by creating collages. You can see my collage givaway box at www.prettymuchliqidesigns.blogspot.com
Thanks for the chance to win!!
I recently realized that in order to use cloth napkins you don't actually need to wash them after every time they hit someone's mouth! We keep them at our spots at the kitchen table and use them for a few days (depending on what we eat!) and then just throw them in with whatever is getting washed. We used to use paper towels as napkins and we were going through a ton-- we now use less than a roll a month!
Cute idea appliqueing fruit and veggie on there. I might borrow that idea in another fashion. My green tip is pretty intuitive, I try to avoid "disposable" anything (except TP). I have switched to handmade makeup removers and wool dryer balls. It makes a world of difference.
Love these bags. My green tip: use vinegar and baking soda for cleaning!
heathervanhoof[at]yahoo[dot]com
Lovely Giveaway, Hope I am lucky!
Good morning and nice to meet you. Your bags are sharp looking... good for greens! My green tip: I just added a laundry tub to our patio, so I can wash and rinse stuff and I let the water drain in to a pail instead going out to sea... now I have *extra* water for the garden.
We are really trying to make an effort to be a bit "greener". We have started adding those awful styrofoam packing peanuts to the bottoms of our big planters - makes for great drainage, takes up space which means for less potting soil, and keeps them out of the landfill. Also, old magazines work as well - and they are biodegradable - just takes a long time!
I love my reusable coffee cup and water bottle! Love the produce bags.
I really like to use green shopping bags, and I've been able to use a great online tutorial to make the ones that I use. They are very sturdy and are the same size as regular plastic shopping bags. I have a link on my blog here:
http://caitlinwilhelm.blogspot.com/2009/02/green-grocery-bags.html.
your bags are so cute. I use reusable shopping bags. I also fill up my sink with water and rinse all my dishes in it instead of keeping the water running. It gets nasty, but that's ok! :)
So cute!! Green tip is to eat fruit and veggies. Good for everyone.
What a fun giveaway. My tip is that used paper towels can be thrown in the green waste.
Green tip eh? Well, always hanging your clothes out to dry, thats a good start! Also, when I forget to bring a canvas bag to the store, I get a paper one and use it in the trash can in my bathroom. It fits perfectly!
Love those bags, great idea!
My favorite green tip is making fabric napkins with my son every year before school for him to use so we don't use paper. He loves it, it's a tradition and fun to see the different patterns/themes he picks each year.
Thanks for the giveaway!
terrific idea.... i'm going to make some today! but if i win, i'll give them as a gift to keep passing the idea along. thanks so much!
ps... come enter my giveaway if you get a chance!
lauren sobaje at yahoo dot com
I would love these!
We just bought a front loading washing machine. It will cut my water usage by about 2/3rds and the electricity by at least half.
I love the bags. So cute
I use club soda to clean glass...windows, mirrors, tables etc. My little one can safely clean with it too!
thanks for the giveaway!
Oh, I love your little bags. I shop the farmers market frequently!
RECYCLE is my tip. Even if it's a hassle sometimes, it's worth it.
Love your bags!
Instead of using gift bags, give presents in those .99 reusable bags!
What a great idea. If I don't win them, I'll make something similar. We really need to cut down on plastic bags. My tip: air dry your laundry - easy now that summer is about here.
Cute! We use white vinegar to clean everything... safe for kids, pets, and the planet!

My green tip is this: Use vinegar and baking soda for EVERYTHING. I clean with NOTHING but those two ingredients! It is green and it also a very great cleaner!

I use lemon juice and salt to clean my kitchen sink! :) Thanks for hosting this giveaway!
Lovely bags and as we have got an allotment I hope they would get lots of use if they came here. My tip is get a tan and save on gym bills by growing your own veg.. very de-stressing too particularly if like us where you grow the veg is away from the house so you can't be interrupted !
What a great idea. Those would be so handy.
My tip was learned from my grandmother, who raised a family during the Depression.
Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.
Buying less always seemed like an Earth friendly thing to do. Except fabric--must have fabric!!
Those bags are so cute!
We use cloth bags when we go to farmers market, or to some grocery stores. Always keeping two or three in the car is very helpful!
I haven't read all the comments, so I don't know if anyone has used this one already. We save empty fabric softener and detergent bottles, put holes in the top and use them as watering 'cans.' My kids love to use them.
