Never has a prayer meant so much and never have I repeated a prayer over and over so many times as I have this prayer. I think I need to make myself a pillow, a picture.. just something, with this prayer on it as a daily reminder.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

That is one of my favorites...
My father had a plaque with that saying:)
Amen.
Love that!
I received a wood plaque with that prayer on it for a house warming gift from my parents! I love it and it keeps me grounded.
